The original layout featured a less-than-ideal arrangement with the toilet placed awkwardly next to the entrance and a floor-to-ceiling partition separating it from the vanity. A large linen closet and bathtub that was never used further hampered functionality for our clients.
By reimagining the layout, we were able to reclaim valuable space and greatly enhance the flow and usability of this ensuite bathroom. We swapped the positions of the toilet and vanity while removing the oversized closet, creating a new area where our clients can sit down, hang towels and store towels and toilettries.
This once outdated space was reimagined as a warm, modern bathroom that
mbraces the power of contrast to elevate the look.
One of the most striking features of this bathroom is the exquisite chevron-patterned floor, which not only adds a touch of timeless elegance but is also a breeze to keep clean and looking new. The low-profile shower, practically curbless in design blends seamlessly into the floor, making the bathroom appear more spacious and accessible.
We eliminated the awkward, claustrophobic corner shower and replaced it with a generously-sized, walk-in glass shower that makes the space feel bigger. By incorporating existing bump-outs and bulkheads into the design, we not only saved on costly drywall repairs but also created unique niches and alcoves for added visual interest.
This relatively small ensuite bathroom was a major transformation — from eliminating the large, dated built-in 90s jacuzzi, to replacing an annoying bathroom door with one that slides out of sight. The result is a sleek yet relaxed space incorporating a freestanding soaker tub, custom shower with herringbone tile accent wall, marble-like walls and minimal grout throughout to cut down on all that scrubbing.
