We have been very impressed by the whole process, from the initial estimates and formal contract through the actual demolition, construction and finishing. Jeff Bates and his team were all talented craftsmen who took great pride in their work. Their attention to detail was exceptional, not only during construction but also to keeping dust and debris to a minimum. Jeff gave us a schedule and we were pleasantly surprised how closely he was able to keep to it. Jeff, with his many years of experience, had many great ideas to improve on our own vision for the renovation. They have carried out the entire project in both a professional and reliable manner. The completion of the deck was on schedule and without going over my budget.

I would highly recommend Bates Home Improvements in Stittsville. The owner Jeff Bates is very knowledgeable on all types of home improvements including deck building. He assisted me in the design of the deck and offered suggestions to the options of materials which are within my budget. It is approaching completion with some minor details remaining and it looks amazing. It is a good size deck that has two levels with an enclosed area, it only took them around 2 weeks time from the design stage to the near completion of the project, so they are fast.”
